A Solution Architect within Atos primarily acts as the technical expert in bid or development projects, translating customer requirements into a solution for a subset of the overall solution. Secondarily a Solution Architect assists Strategy and Growth with regards to new propositions, PoC’s and MvP’s and support current portfolio items. As such, you as a Cloud Solution Architect will perform in several activities. Willingness to travel is essential.

 

Your role as a Cloud Solution Architect (Azure and VMWare)
As a Cloud Solution Architect, you have the technical knowledge to create architectural designs, commercial skills and presentation skills to successfully present cloud solutions to our customers. With a specific focus on private and public cloud (Azure, AWS and VMWare) as well as DevOps and native application services, the role covers a large breadth of technologies and customer situations.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Active participation in bids: responsible for solutioning and calculating Cloud solutions, including the corresponding migrations paths and dependencies.
  • Lead client conversations demonstrating your technical expertise to help enterprise clients.
  • Working towards completing cloud designs and implementation
  • Actively engage with customers to understand their business challenges and requirements and help the customers design & implement cloud (native) solutions and maximize the business around cloud portfolio. Actual topics will include Cloud Migration and Modernization, CI/CD integrations, Automated workflows and Cloud OPS
  • Translate customer functional requirements into service and technology designs. 
  • Validate architecture design options and solutions with the Technology Architecture teams of relevant delivery functions.  
  • Create High level designs of cloud solutions.  
  • Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements in the cloud area, both in the infrastructure and application services 
  • Contribute to our Cloud Vision and roadmaps. 
  • Be involved in implementation projects to maintain your hands-on knowledge

 

Skills we like you to have:

  • At least 10 years in business or operational role, with 5 in a management-level position.
  • Prior work experience in a consulting/architecture position within software and/or services company 
  • Up to date VMWare and Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Experienced in the area of cloud assessments, migration- designs and planning and calculations.
  • Experience in one of the following areas:
    • AWS (based RDS), Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift
    • DynamoDB, Lambda or Azure flavors like Azure SQL, Azure Flexible Server, Cosmos DB etc.
    • Azure IaaS as well as PaaS services (spanning from VM to AKS), CI/CD pipeline deployments, AI, Analytics/Big Data
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (in NL + Eng)
  • Takes ownership and shows commitment, team player with an open mind and positive attitude.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication. Work with business and technology stakeholders and translate business problems in technical designs.
  • Fluent in English
