About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we're building the delivery of (almost) everything and you'll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn't always easy, but it's definitely exciting. Here you'll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You'll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you're a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
We are looking for a
Senior
Analytics Engineer
to join our
People Analytics
team in
Finland
or
Estonia
.
In this role, you will help us use people and organizational data to support HR, leadership, and business functions. Your work will provide reliable insights into workforce trends, employee relations, and organizational performance, helping the company make better decisions at every level.
This position sits at the crossroads of
business intelligence, data modeling, and stakeholder collaboration
. Working closely with People Operations and HRBPs, you'll turn business needs into clear datasets, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses. You'll also help the team explore new ways of applying
AI-driven technologies
to improve reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
About The Role
This is a
temporary one-year role
focused on supporting the business with people analytics needs. You'll be part of a cross-functional team, ensuring HR and leadership stakeholders have the insights they need to guide their decisions. You'll collaborate closely with People Analytics colleagues and HRBPs, shaping workforce data into dashboards, models, and insights that can be trusted across the organization.
About The People Analytics Team
The People Analytics team at Wolt focuses on the full employee lifecycle: we support the People team with hiring and onboarding, through HR processes, and performance. This means you'll have the opportunity to work on a broad range of people topics and directly contribute to how we shape the employee experience. We are a small team with a collaborative way of working. Our culture is supportive, we help each other and make sure no one is left alone with challenges.
We're also part of a
global People Intelligence team
, giving us access to additional expertise, best practices, and resources. You'll have both the close-knit feel of a small team and the backing of a wider international network.
What you'll be doing
- Build dashboards and reports on key people metrics such as hiring, retention, performance, and engagement.
- Write advanced SQL queries in Snowflake to transform and optimize people data for analytics use cases.
- Model and prepare data using dbt and GitHub.
- Deliver clean, actionable reporting through Sigma.
- Create intuitive, well-designed visualizations that help HR and leadership to make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate closely with People Analytics colleagues, HR teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to turn business questions into clear insights.
- Apply AI-driven analytics tools to improve reporting efficiency and provide predictive workforce insights.
- Strengthen data literacy across the People team by promoting self-service analytics and sharing best practices through training and documentation.
Our humble expectations
- 4+ years working as a BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with data integrations, data pipelines, data models, metric development, and dashboards.
- Tech skills: Advanced SQL, DBT, GitHub, and one of the modern BI tools (Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar). Basic Python is a plus.
- Strong visual storytelling skills, as well as design sense for dashboards, can make people data both clear and compelling.
- Curiosity and an advanced mindset toward new technologies, especially AI in BI workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable engaging with HR/People Ops stakeholders within different time zones. Since you'll be taking care of our internal stakeholders, we're looking for someone who truly enjoys interacting with people on a daily basis. The ability to search for information and ask relevant questions from various teams will be crucial.
What we offer
- The online delivery platform that Wolt is building will offer you interesting and complex challenges together with the opportunities to create a big impact with your skills. Lots of geolocational and temporal data in real-time combined with differences in the economics and dynamics of the cities we operate in make Wolt both a challenging and so interesting company to practice analytics.
- You can work from Helsinki, or entirely remotely anywhere in Finland or Estonia. You have the chance to decide the ways of working — a hybrid, at the office, or remote within the location above.
- You would get to work in a company culture where we take ownership beyond the obvious, do common things uncommonly well, we think big but stay humble, do right by people, we treat others kindly and justly, recognize that if we don't learn, we won't stay still but fall behind and keep in mind that Luke was Yoda's greatest achievement.
Next steps
The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so make sure to apply as soon as you realize you really, really want to join us
