About the job Team Lead

We're seeking a technical leader to own and standardize our client applications ecosystem across desktop, mobile, and web platforms. This role will serve as the critical bridge between our client apps and backend services, ensuring seamless integration and advocating for client-side needs in architectural decisions.

Location: Remote (Europe TimeZone)

Team: Consolidated client apps team (desktop, mobile, front-end)

About the Role

  • Own the contracts and integration layer between all client applications and backend APIs
  • Standardize how desktop, mobile, and web apps interact with backend services
  • Lead technical discussions and advocate for client-side requirements in architecture decisions
  • Drive proactive communication with backend teams rather than passive consumption
  • Make strategic decisions on API consumption patterns and client architecture
  • Mentor engineers across iOS (native/Swift), Android (native), desktop (.NET/Windows), and web )
  • Transform the team from passive implementers to active stakeholders in platform decisionsLead initiatives like major API migrations (REST to GraphQL, etc.)

What Were Looking For

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proven experience owning large-scale client applications with complex API integrations
  • Deep understanding of API contracts, integration patterns, and client-server architecture
  • Experience leading technical initiatives that span multiple platforms
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisionsComfortable with ambiguity across multiple technology stacks

Background in either:

  • Senior mobile engineering with extensive API/backend integration work, OR
  • Full-stack engineering with end-to-end system ownership, OR
  • Platform engineering focused on client-side systems

Bonus Points

  • Experience with API migration projects (REST to GraphQL, etc.)
  • Familiarity with multiple client platforms (iOS, Android, desktop, web)
  • Background in developer tooling or SDK development
  • Golang knowledge (team works closely with Golang backend)
  • Previous team lead or technical leadership experience

  • Standardized, well-documented integration patterns across all platforms
  • Reduced friction and faster feature delivery through better client-backend collaboration
  • Team members feel empowered to voice technical concerns and requirements
