Accountant

Podium North is hiring a part-time Accountant (20 hours weekly) with relevant work experience of 1-2 years.

Your main responsibility in this position will be supporting Accounting Manager with day-to-day and ad hoc accounting tasks.

Expected working times are daily 4 hours from Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are open to other arrangements that match with Accounting team responsibilities.

The tasks and responsibilities of Accountant:

• Accurately record vendor set-up in D365, invoice entry, invoice coding, wire/EFT set up and payment runs;
• Perform credit card data entry, including regular review of transactions to ensure proper credit card use processes are followed, and resolve any deviations from those processes;
• Maintain digital files on all accounts payable and update records as required;
• Ensure compliance of proper payment workflow processes;
• Work with the other corporate accountant(s) to manage day to day accounting and bookkeeping;
• Assist with ad-hoc reports for management; including GL account reconciliations;'
• Liaise with and support purchasers and Workplace Manager;
• Proactively review Jira tickets and identify purchasing process errors before they can delay payments;
• Contract management software administration;
• Various administrative tasks according to the needs of the company.

To succeed in this position, you need:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent transferable skills;
• Post-secondary education at college or university level focusing on business or accounting;
• A good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices;
• Experience in D365, Directo, or other accounting software application;
• Intermediate level Excel proficiency;
• Complete fluency in English, both written and spoken is essential;
  
• Experience with Estonian accounting and taxes;
• Comfortable communicating with all levels departments within the organization.

It's a plus if you have:

• Accountant, EstQF Level 5
• Basic knowledge of payroll accounting
