About the Role:
The role would be to help support the Raintree environment as a member of the DevOps Team. In this role you will utilize your existing IT experience to assist the team in building and responding to monitoring, supporting the AWS infrastructure, implementing customer environments, and providing 1st level support for technical issues that customers report. You will also begin working on projects to deploy application environments using AWS, secure coding, and secure architecture best practices as you train with the team.
Your Day-to-Day
Duties and Responsibilities :
Monitoring system performance using DataDog and other tools, identify points for optimization, and implement system changes to address problems.Provision Infrastructure utilizing tools and processes that the team has developed.Make configuration changes utilizing tools and processes that the team has developed.Create runbook documentation for other engineers to follow when addressing system problems.Support developer teams within our AWS environments.Troubleshoot issues related to the Raintree applications and databases running in our environmentSupport application environments running serverless and/or containerized workloads in AWSSupport 24x7 on-call rotationYour Experience
2+ years of system administration experience related to Linux and/or Windows operating systems, ideally running in AWSBasic knowledge of supporting AWS environments utilizing scripted and/or non-scripted methodsBasic understanding of GitHub or another similar git based software version control system.Experience supporting applications and/or users in an application environmentBasic knowledge of networking topologies including subnetting, routing, IP addressing, and VPN usage.Experience using a database such as MySQL or Postgresql is a plusExperience managing users within an AWS environment is a plusExperience with Windows system configuration leveraging PowerShell or other common tools/languages is a plusCompetencies to Drive Success
