The East Tennessee State University Department of Art & Design invites enthusiastic and experienced colleagues to become part of our part-time instruction team. We are currently seeking qualified applicants to teach on-ground foundation courses beginning in spring 2025. Courses may include Core 1 (basic 2D design), Core II (basic 3D Design), Drawing, and 4D Design (basic extended/expanded/time-based media). All positions at East Tennessee State University are contingent upon sufficient funding. Required Qualifications
MFA in Studio Art or equivalent professional experience. At least one semester of teaching experience as an instructor of record at the college level in Art and Design Foundations in one or more of the following (or equivalent): Drawing, 2D Design, 3D Design, and 4D Design (electronic/extended/time-based/expanded media).
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach Art Appreciation. Experience teaching in a wide range of media, including analog and digital.
