Software and Firmware Automated Test Enginee
r to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Your mission

As a Software and Firmware Automated Test Engineer at Bisly, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining hardware in loop automated tests for both wired and wireless embedded and server products. You'll have autonomy to define the architecture of test systems and influence design-for-testability at different layers of the product. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-disciplinary environments and wants to drive test maturity and automation scalability across hardware and software boundaries. You will work closely with hardware, firmware and software engineers to define needed tests, test equipment and toolsets. Your focus will be on monitoring and improving features test coverage, supporting bug solving and managing testing part of CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain test plans and test cases for embedded and server-side systems
  • Writing tests based on defined test cases
  • Defining needed equipment and test solution/framework architecture
  • Selecting and setting up hardware and test equipment needed for automated tests
  • Running smoke, routine, stress and regression tests, compiling reports and statistics
  • Analyze test results, generate reports, and drive metrics-based test coverage improvements
  • Collaborate with FW and SW engineers to maintain CI/CD pipeline
  • Reproduce and isolate bugs through automated diagnostics and targeted test cases
  • Increasing test coverage based on reported bugs, collaborate with firmware, electronics, and cloud teams to ensure end-to-end testability
  • Develop electronics series production tests based on existing development tests
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to assure compliance with applicable standards and regulations

To succeed in this role, you'll have

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience automating tests for embedded systems (preferably wireless/low-power devices)
  • Strong practical knowledge of electronic lab equipment automation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, DAQs, I/O cards, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, capable of leading testing initiatives
  • Fundamental understanding of electronics and hardware-software interaction
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and test orchestration
  • Strong interest in building automation
