Job Summary
The Department of Rehabilitation seeks an experienced laboratory coordinator with a broad spectrum of skills and experience to manage laboratory operations, new technology development, device fabrication, and fabrication instruction in the inaugural Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics ( MSOP ) program. The position is a full-time staff position and reports to the director of the Orthotics and Prosthetics program. The MSOP program anticipates admission of its first cohort in the Spring of 2025. The successful candidate is expected to participate as a full member of the department with all relevant duties, responsibilities, and benefits. The staff member is expected to be responsible for the organization, coordination, and supervision and some instruction of laboratory operations in the MSOP program. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of technical experience working in an Orthotics and/or Prosthetics laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications
Certified Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. OR commensurate experience. Working knowledge and skills in digital shape capture and additive manufacturing methods Extensive technical design and fabrication experience in Orthotics and Prosthetics. An associate degree (or higher degree) or strong desire to pursue an associate degree (or higher degree). Management/supervision experience in an active Orthotic and Prosthetic fabrication laboratory. Mentoring/teaching experience in fabrication methods of orthoses, prostheses and footwear.
