Who We Are
Iute Group is a fast-growing fintech company founded in 2008 in Estonia. We operate across multiple European markets, offering consumer finance, payments, banking, and insurance services. Our mission is to deliver an outstanding personal finance experience - powered by technology and elevated by the human touch.
About The Role
We're looking for a Test Automation Engineer who is passionate about quality, automation, and modern testing practices. You'll join a collaborative and supportive team where QA is involved at every stage of the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and maintain automated test suites for frontend and backend systems using Java and Selenide/Selenium
- Build and maintain API test coverage with REST Assured
- Own and grow mobile automation test coverage using Appium
- Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries to validate data integrity, support backend verifications, and build test scenarios
- Read and investigate application and system logs (e.g. Elastic/Kibana) to trace issues, validate behaviour and support debugging
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers and fellow QAs to ensure features meet quality standards before release
- Analyse test results, debug issues and proactively identify risks in the system
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins) to provide fast, continuous feedback
- Contribute to a quality-first engineering culture where shared ownership is part of daily work
What We Expect From You
- Solid experience designing and implementing automated tests (functional, integration, regression)
- Strong skills in frontend test automation using Selenide or Selenium (Java)
- Hands-on experience with mobile test automation, with a strong focus on Appium
- Hands-on experience with API automation testing, ideally using REST Assured
- Confidence writing and executing SQL queries in PostgreSQL for test validations, data setup and debugging
- Comfort working with logs in Elastic/Kibana to investigate issues and support root cause analysis
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into them
- A curious, proactive mindset — not only testing features, but exploring how systems behave and how they could work better
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and good communication skills
- A positive, team-player attitude and willingness to collaborate closely with others
Nice to have
- Familiarity with load and stress testing tools and practices
- Prior knowledge of Docker (or similar containerization technologies) for running, isolating, and debugging applications in test environments
What We Offer
- Motivating and competitive compensation with performance-based incentives
- Health or sports benefits, additional vacation days, and support for life events
- A modern HQ office in the heart of Tallinn
- A supportive team environment where QA is valued and involved early
- Real ownership of mobile automation (Appium) and space to shape automation practices and standards
- The opportunity to work in a fast-growing fintech company with direct impact across multiple markets
Hiring process
Our hiring process starts with a short screening call. If we both feel it's a good match, you'll meet the hiring manager for a direct interview. Next comes a home assignment, followed by a meeting with the wider QA team. Throughout the process, we aim to provide timely feedback — and we truly appreciate the time and effort you invest.
Please note This is a full-time role based in Tallinn, Estonia. Our working language is English.
