Job SummaryThe College of Nursing, Office of Practice, is accepting applications for a PRN , Pharmacy Technician. This position is located at the Johnson City Community Health Center. The pharmacy technician will help to increase the pharmacy's efficiency by assisting the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions and maintaining the day-to-day activities in the Pharmacy, as well as helping to provide the highest level of patient care and customer service. For successful job performance, the pharmacy technician should be flexible, demonstrate keen attention to detail, exhibit initiative, and be willing to work as part of a team. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Licensed Pharmacy Technician through the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, (must obtain before date of hire). Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, or able to obtain within one (1) year of the date of hire, must be enrolled in a PTCB course within 3-6 months of hire.
