The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Expediting Engineer to support the timely and compliant delivery of offshore wind project packages by overseeing fabrication progress, supply chain performance, and logistics execution. The role ensures that equipment, materials, and components are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, project schedules, and applicable industry standards.
What you will doProvide oversight of supplier manufacturing and delivery activities to ensure alignment with contractual programs and project milestones.
Monitor fabrication activities across assigned packages, verifying compliance with agreed specifications, quality standards, and applicable offshore wind and marine codes.
Identify risks, delays, and constraints within the supply chain and support the development of mitigation measures to protect the project schedule and delivery certainty.
Oversee expediting activities related to transport, load-out, shipment, and delivery, ensuring materials arrive at the correct location, on time, in the required condition, and with complete documentation.
Act as a representative in coordination with suppliers, package teams, logistics providers, and third-party stakeholders throughout fabrication and delivery phases.
Provide structured, timely expediting input and reporting to support project decision-making, progress monitoring, and contractual compliance.
Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance in line with project and industry best practices.
Bringing the following skills and qualities will help you excel in this role:
Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. marine, structural, industrial engineering) or equivalent.
Experience in expediting, fabrication monitoring, supply chain, or delivery assurance within offshore wind, offshore, or marine infrastructure projects.
An understanding of offshore wind project execution, fabrication processes, and multi-supplier supply chains would be considered beneficial.
Experience in an Employer or Consultant representative role at supplier sites, fabrication yards, ports, or project locations is considered an advantage.
Ability to assess manufacturing progress, delivery risks, and schedule impacts at package and project level.
Strong coordination, communication, and reporting capabilities within multidisciplinary project teams.
High awareness of health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements in offshore and marine environments.
Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, enabling to present complex matters in a professional and straightforward way, any additional language is an advantage
Willingness to travel as required to support fabrication, inspection, and delivery activities.
