Senior Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to design and implement robust data pipelines that process vast datasets from mobile positioning data sources. As part of our team, you will work with cutting-edge big data technologies, contribute to the architecture of scalable cloud-based systems, and streamline data integration processes.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and optimize data pipelines using big data technologies. You will also collaborate in the design and implementation of relational database schemas and ensure effective data storage and retrieval practices.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
• At least two years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in programming: working knowledge of Python and SQL, with familiarity with JavaScript for data visualization.
• Databases: experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and familiarity with designing data models.
• Big data technologies and engineering: experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing, familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem and distributed storage solutions.
• Cloud platforms: familiarity with major cloud providers and services; work experience with at least one of them is beneficial.
• Unix/Linux systems: proficient with Unix/Linux command-line tools and shell scripting.
