Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia Bolt Technology Full time €40,000 - €80,000 per year

We're looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our Platform team and build scalable, reusable, high-quality data products that power decision-making across Bolt. The Platform team works across all verticals, tackling challenges in geospatial (routing, ETAs), user identity and verification, communications, automation, and customer support.

About us

With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people.

We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission

About the role

As an Analytics Engineer, you'll be more than a data expert—you'll help shape the future of mobility by creating strong data foundations that enable data-driven decisions at scale. In this role, you will partner with our Geospatial and User Identity teams to deliver robust, reusable data products, while owning the pipeline between data producers and consumers. You'll also act as a sparring partner to product analysts, data scientists, and engineers across Bolt, ensuring that our data ecosystem is reliable, scalable, and impactful.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product analysts and data scientists, as well as cross vertical stakeholders, to prioritise and align analytics engineering roadmaps, ensuring that solutions meet long-term business needs.
  • Build, expand, and maintain reusable data models and metrics in dbt.
  • Set up and manage the architecture, documentation, and key data transformations for in-house and third-party data.
  • Improve the efficiency and impact of product analytics through data products, processes, collaboration, and active knowledge-sharing.
  • Develop strategic data products, such as a segmentation feature store, or enable advanced solutions such as interactive metrics trees.
  • Follow system design and architectural best practices and closely collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data integrity and efficiency across all processes.

About you:

  • You hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Business, or similar studies.
  • You have significant experience with data modeling, developing analytics architectures for large volumes of data, and can demonstrate tangible impact in the area.
  • You are proficient in SQL, Python, Spark, data modelling tools such as dbt, and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • You possess excellent knowledge of system design and architectural best practices with a focus on reusability, maintainability, reliability, and scalability.
  • You are a strong cross-functional collaborator with a good business sense and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Previous exposure to Business Intelligence tools, ideally with Looker.

Experience is great, but we also look for drive, intelligence, and integrity. So, even if you don't tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you're the kind of person described above

Why you'll love it here:

  • Play a direct role in shaping the future of mobility.
  • Impact millions of customers and partners in 600+ cities across 50+ countries.
  • Work in fast-moving autonomous teams with some of the smartest people in the world.
  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Get a rewarding salary and stock option package that lets you focus on doing your best work.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working in a hybrid mode with a minimum of 2 days in the office each week to foster strong connections and teamwork.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.

*Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.
