DevOps Engineer/ Cloud Security Operations Engineer
YOUR ROLE:
We are looking for a solution-focused, proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. As a DevOps / Cloud SecOps Engineer, you'll work closely with product teams and engineering leads to build, secure, and maintain the core infrastructure of our backend systems. Your focus will be on scalability, automation, reliability, and security.

YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage and improve development, staging, and production environments
- Maintain and enhance centralized monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks
- Manage and monitor SSL certificates, domain configurations, and renewals
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability
- Contribute to infrastructure security and compliance practices
- Implement and manage cloud security operations (SecOps), including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and incident response
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, IAM practices, and secrets management
- Perform continuous risk assessments, threat modeling, and security monitoring for cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met (e.g., GDPR, ISO, SOC 2)
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCES:
- Strong experience with Linux (Debian preferred) servers
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Terraform and Ansible preferred)
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS preferred)
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus
- Experience in database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiar with data streaming platforms such as Kafka or Confluent
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Collaborative mindset, working closely with both infrastructure and development teams
- Passion for DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to support outside standard business hours if necessary
- Proven experience in Cloud Security Operations, including identity management, network hardening, intrusion detection/prevention, and compliance automation
BIG PLUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with Windows server administration
- Understanding of high-volume transactional systems and distributed systems
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or other cloud security certifications)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices
- Understanding of security best practices (IAM, secrets management, network hardening)
- Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, and incident response frameworks
