ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to join our team in the insurance sector. If you have a strong background in delivering scalable ABAP solutions, enjoy collaborating across teams, and thrive in a structured, standards-driven environment, wed love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Design, develop, and document ABAP-based software components in close collaboration with business analysts, architects, and other developers.
- Support internal teams by advising on standards, system processes, and technology usage across departments.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions for complex or multi-layered system requirements.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure all developments align with internal coding standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in team ceremonies and support agile development cycles.
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development, including at least 2 years as an ABAP Developer.
- Strong expertise in OO ABAP, with hands-on experience in custom development (e.g., reports, BADI enhancements) and configuration based on customer specifications.
- Familiarity with RESTful services and integration techniques.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, documentation standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and responsible approach to work
