Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia Pipedrive Full time

We believe it takes great people to create a great product. That's why our team lives our company values, and we hire based on them, too. Since 2010, Pipedrive has been on a mission to support sales and marketing teams with easy-to-use, powerful tools that make everyday work faster and easier. Today, our cloud-based software is trusted by over 100,000 companies and used in 179 countries. We have grown from a five-person team to a truly international company of over 850+ people, representing more than 50 nationalities, with ten offices distributed across Europe and the US. In 2020, Pipedrive received a majority investment from Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm that invests exclusively in enterprise software, data, and technology-enabled businesses, making Pipedrive the fifth unicorn from Estonia.

At Pipedrive, payments are how our business comes to life. Every subscription, renewal, and upgrade depends on a seamless and reliable payment experience. As we continue to scale globally, we're creating a new Head of Payments role to build, lead, and own this critical function end to end.

Drive the strategy behind the transactions that power Pipedrive and our clients. In this pivotal role, you will lead our global payments evolution, ensuring frictionless checkout experiences for a vast international audience while managing enterprise-level throughput. You'll act as the bridge between commercial strategy and engineering excellence to build a scalable, high-performance payment infrastructure designed for long term growth and hyperscale.

This is a rare opportunity to build the payments function from the ground up and establish payments as a long-term strategic advantage for Pipedrive.

Your new adventure
  • Own and define Pipedrive's global payments strategy and end-to-end payment performance
  • Ensure frictionless payments for a global customer base and the reliable processing of large-scale payment volumes.
  • Build and lead the Payments function, including strategy, processes, governance, and team growth
  • Lead payment product strategy, including payment flows, global payment method expansion, and PSP architecture
  • Manage and scale partnerships with 10+ payment providers (banks & fintechs), owning SLAs, commercial terms, and operational performance
  • Drive continuous improvement of key payment KPIs such as authorization rates, retries, payment economics, fraud, and chargebacks
  • Partner closely with Engineering to design and evolve a scalable, resilient, and compliant payments architecture
  • Oversee Payments BI to ensure automated monitoring, anomaly detection, and executive-level insights
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and network requirements (PSD2/SCA, PCI, and local market regulations)
  • Act as a senior payments advisor internally, influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Does this sound like you?
  • 8–10+ years of experience in Payments within a global merchant, SaaS, or digital business (12+ years preferred)
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of the full payments lifecycle, including authorization, settlement, reconciliation, fraud, and chargebacks
  • Strong knowledge of global payment methods, subscription billing, retries, and dunning mechanics
  • Experience leading payment product strategy and managing multi-PSP or orchestration architectures
  • Proven ability to partner with Engineering on APIs, integrations, and platform design
  • Strong understanding of payments economics, cost structures, and optimization levers
  • Experience owning payment KPIs and using data to drive strategic and operational decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and scaling teams or functions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Why Pipedrive?
  • Build something from day one – This is a newly created role with true end-to-end ownership and strategic impact
  • One of the most business-critical areas – Payments directly power revenue, growth, and customer experience
  • People-first culture – Work with smart, kind, and ambitious colleagues in an inclusive, collaborative environment
  • Shape the future – Define how payments evolve as a strategic capability within Pipedrive's product ecosystem
  • Work with purpose – Help over 100,000 businesses worldwide grow and succeed

Based on this role's access to sensitive systems and data, Pipedrive may conduct a pre-employment background investigation in line with our recruitment privacy policy.
