Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our client's dynamic Expansion Team in Europe. In this high-impact role, you will define and execute payment strategies, develop key relationships with partners such as mobile network operators (MNOs), e-wallets, and local payment providers, and work closely with merchants to drive business growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Partner Management
- Develop strategies to grow payment opportunities in Europe.
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key partners, including MNOs, e-wallets, A2A providers, and merchants.
- Support seamless partner onboarding, ensuring compliance with business ethics and regulatory guidelines.
- Negotiate with partners to optimize conversion, pricing, and marketing support while managing operational contracts.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, acting as the go-to problem solver for partners.
Internal Collaboration & Communication
- Work with EMEA management to align payment strategies with business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Legal, Finance, Sales) to finalize contracts and support technical integrations with payment partners.
- Act as the partner champion within the organization and the company's ambassador to external partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, project management, or product development, particularly in payments, telco, eCommerce, or fintech.
- Deep understanding of the mobile payments and alternative payment methods landscape.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing technical partnerships and integrations.
- Proven analytical and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and project management platforms (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
- Fluent English required (additional languages are an advantage).
- Willingness to travel for business meetings.
