DevOps Engineer

Parim, the best workforce software for temporary staff, is searching for a senior DevOps Engineer to join our innovative and collaborative Engineering team. You'll directly contribute to building, maintaining, and enhancing our high-performance, scalable SaaS platform, empowering businesses to optimise their workforce management processes globally.

Overview

As a key member of the team, you will work in partnership with engineers, product managers, and UX designers in a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment. Your focus will be on driving automation, reliability, and scalability across our cloud-based infrastructure while enabling rapid and safe product development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Oversee and optimise cloud infrastructure, managing cost and performance
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems across environments
• Ensure security best practices through regular audits, access controls, and data protections
• Collaborate with development for smooth software delivery and production support
• Perform root-cause analysis for incidents, trouble-shoot system and application issues, and document resolutions
• Forecast project duration, resource requirements, and operational costs for management stakeholders
• Maintain detailed documentation for deployments, incidents, and infrastructure changes
• A senior DevOps engineer is expected to combine broad technical expertise with leadership and communication skills to create a reliable, scalable, and secure DevOps environment that supports rapid and consistent software delivery

Skills and Experience

• Automation Proficiency: Ability to design and implement automation frameworks for deployments, configuration management, and operational tasks using scripting languages and tools
• Cloud and Infrastructure Expertise: Advanced skills in cloud platforms (AWS), including cost optimisation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and orchestration tools.
• CI/CD Pipeline Mastery: Hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, or others, ensuring smooth and reliable code delivery
• Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Ability to implement, maintain, and optimise monitoring systems to ensure infrastructure reliability and high performance
• Security and Compliance Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of best practices for security, including data encryption, secure access management, and compliance audit processes
• System Architecture & Troubleshooting: Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices, and root-cause analysis for incident management
• Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to mentor junior engineers, collaborate across teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Documentation: Proficiency in documenting processes, procedures, and system architectures for team-wide reference and regulatory compliance
• Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying up-to-date with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in DevOps

Desirable (but not required) Skills

• Previous experience supporting NodeJS, NestJS, or similar back-end technologies
• Exposure to managing relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caches (Redis) as part of platform infrastructure
• Understanding of frontend delivery and optimisation for systems using technologies like NextJS and React
• Experience with security audits or compliance certifications (ISO, SOC2, etc.)
