Senior DevOps Engineer

pawaTech is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for our Databases team. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining data storage services according to requirements for persistent storage from other teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Administrating databases (TiDB, MongoDB, MySQL, Kafka, MinIO);
• Ensuring high availability of stored data for application services and other users, introducing the necessary level of redundancy and maintaining the required level of consistency;
• Providing the possibility for seamless increase of computational and storage capacity of managed services. Monitoring and applying required optimizations to ensure appropriate performance of data operations;
• Establishing secure and reliable access for users and applications to data storage services, eliminating unauthorized access and protecting sensitive data;
• Participating and proactively collaborating on the incident management process, minimizing the impact for users in cases of technical and operational failures;
• Continuously tracking and optimizing costs related to managed services and resources;
• Collaborating with other devops, development, as well as product and management teams, increasing the efficiency of the overall product development process.

• Experience with different databases administration (deployment, configuration, data manipulation);
• Experience in ensuring high availability of deployed databases (replication, clusterization, partitioning, sharding);
• Expertise to execute tasks effectively, aligning with business goals, processes, and minimizing disruptions;
• Capability to foster teamwork through clear communication, coordination, and constructive feedback.

• Experience in working with large databases in production measured in terabytes;
• Experience in query analysis and performance optimizations;
