Role Purpose
We are looking for someone to join us at Boku as a Site Reliability/Platform Engineer in Estonia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and optimizing our cloud-based solutions using Infrastructure as a code (IaC). Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various internal teams to implement best practices and regularly review existing systems for improvement

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of AWS infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Management of CI / CD pipelines, configuration management and monitoring tools
  • Responding to incidents and participating in technical investigations.
  • Building automated solutions for recurring tasks.
  • Driving cross-team security initiatives.
  • Driving technical choices for improving our infrastructure platform.
  • Participating in designing the future technical platform and tools
  • Responding to incidents and participating in technical investigations

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills And Competencies

  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps / Infrastructure/ Platform engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing tools, especially AWS.
  • Deep knowledge of computer networking architecture, protocols and standards
  • Experience in and in-depth understanding of security standards and best practices
  • Proficiency with public key infrastructure and relevant standards
  • A Familiarity with databases (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB) and an openness to exploring cloud-first options
  • Familiarity with messaging brokers like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
  • Enthusiasm for taking the initiative to propose solution designs
  • Skilled at least in one programming language
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Comfortable with agile environment
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Certifications (not a must, but preferable)

  • AWS is an ESSENTIAL
  • Kubernetes competency is a plus
