Role Overview
As a Tech Lead, you will drive the technical vision and execution of a new MVP B2B platform for virtual card issuing and management. The architecture will be API-first, serving as a unified gateway for partner integrations. You will define architecture decisions, mentor the development team, and ensure the platform meets business and technical requirements for scalability, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define system architecture and API design, ensuring scalability and resilience.
  • Select tools and approaches within the chosen tech stack.
  • Decompose tasks for developers, review code, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide technical input and consultation for business requirements.
  • Implement best practices for high-load systems, distributed architectures, and asynchronous data processing.
  • Ensure system security and compliance with OWASP standards.
  • Write and review key backend modules (API, integrations).
  • Mentor developers and foster engineering excellence.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design and external system integrations.
  • Collaborate with product managers on sprint planning and task estimation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial development experience with PHP.
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture (DDD, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal/Onion).
  • Hands-on experience with high-load, distributed systems, and high availability design.
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Laravel Octane, Fiber/Echo, gRPC + Protobuf.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, ELK/Loki, Prometheus, Sentry, Jaeger).
  • Understanding of security principles for web applications and countermeasures.
  • Experience with automated testing, profiling, and code quality practices.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) and remote team collaboration tools.
