Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia Inbank Full time €80,000 - €120,000 per year

Hello from Inbank If you've ever bought something in three instalments or financed your gadget purchase online or in a shop, there's a good chance you've used something we built.

Since you're reading this, you're probably looking around, or at least curious about what's out there. We get it: choosing your next role is a big decision. Let's get acquainted.

We're not here to be another bank. At Inbank, we're a modular finance platform helping businesses grow and customers pay with ease. We believe banking should feel invisible—an effortless layer that powers every great digital experience. Today, our financing rails are woven into the flow of 6,000+ leading retailers, giving around half a million customers a one-tap way to pay while turbo-charging merchants' growth.

There are already 440+ of us across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Czechia, and we're continuing to grow as we help thousands of retailers expand their business and reach millions of shoppers.

Due to our growth ambitions, we seek a talented
Tech Lead
to join our
Data Warehouse
team in Tallinn.

As a
Tech Lead,
you'll play a key role in shaping our data future — designing and delivering scalable, high-performing solutions that power smarter decisions across the business. You'll lead and inspire a talented team of Product Engineers, championing best practices in data modelling, performance, and governance. Leveraging Snowflake, Airflow, and Python, you'll modernise our cloud-native data platform and unlock the full potential of advanced analytics across the organisation.

You'll have the freedom to make architectural decisions, influence our technology direction, and see your work power real business outcomes. If you're passionate about building modern data platforms, leading great engineers, and unlocking the value of data, this is the place to do it.

What will you be doing?

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality data solutions using Snowflake, Airflow, and Python — the backbone of our data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a talented team of Product Engineers, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Shape the future of our data architecture to ensure our warehouse scales with the growing needs of analytics, reporting, and innovation.
  • Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive impact across the organisation.
  • Champion best practices in data modelling, performance tuning, and pipeline reliability — ensuring our data is always trusted, performant, and accessible.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Deep technical expertise in Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Python, with hands-on experience building and optimising data pipelines.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a data engineering team in a modern cloud environment.
  • A solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with modern data architecture patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, and security practices — ensuring data is accurate, compliant, and well-managed.

Beyond the technical:

  • You contribute not only code, but also ideas, mentorship, and leadership in your day-to-day work.
  • You understand that collaboration and open communication are as important as technical skill.
  • You take initiative, whether that's solving a thorny technical issue, helping a teammate, or sparking a discussion about improving how we work.
  • Ownership, high level of self-organisation, responsibility, and pride in delivering results that make a difference.

We'd be excited if you also have experience with:

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g. GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
  • Understanding of DAMA-DMBOK and lineage tools (e.g. Alation, Collibra, or OpenMetadata).
  • Exposure to analytics and BI platforms such as Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and security frameworks (e.g. GDPR, ISO
  • Interest in machine learning, data science, or predictive analytics pipelines.
