About the role

You'll work on our hybrid Edge–Cloud platform and the MES layer built on top of it. Edge systems handle real-time data acquisition, caching, and fallback. The cloud manages storage, processing, and user interfaces. The challenge is to design systems that stay reliable and secure while staying simple to use.

What you'll be working on

  • Develop and maintain Edge Python code for IoT connectivity
  • Implement sync pipelines between Edge and Cloud (MQTT, RabbitMQ, REST)
  • Design strategies for availability and reliability in unstable networks
  • Extend MES features connecting devices, processes, and people
  • Contribute to architecture decisions balancing simplicity, security, and performance

Our core toolstack

  • Python (Kratt) – data acquisition and processing
  • MQTT – decentralized communications and current state
  • RabbitMQ – data history and batch sync
  • PostgreSQL – data storage and analysis
  • Django – cloud management and back office
  • React – simple user interfaces
  • Grafana – preconfigured visualizations

What we're looking for

  • Experience with edge solutions: networking, brokers, and hardware basics
  • Hands-on skills in Python/Django and/or React - perfect if you have both
  • Ability to design robust systems for intermittent connectivity
  • Understanding how operators and managers interact with systems
  • Problem-solving mindset with focus on usability and reliability
