Job Description
In 2012, Konecranes established European Financial Shared Service Center in Tallinn, Estonia. The center offers transaction handling services, financial master data maintenance and financial accounting services to Konecranes Group's companies.
We are looking for a
Financial Accountant
to our R2R team to execute day-to-day activities associated with recording accounting transactions, managing P&L and Balance Sheet accounts, reconciling balances and period end activities, and providing support to the business, business controllers and FSSC.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the transactional components of the Record to Report process; preparing journal entries and providing supporting documents as needed; overseeing P&L and balance sheet accounts; and performing reconciliation of various data.
- Assisting carry out the general ledger close, prepare monthly reconciliations to verify that e.g. the balances recorded in the general ledger as intercompany receivables are accurately recorded, and identify and resolve intercompany accounting disputes.
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliation.
- Responsible for named internal controls.
- Documenting work-instructions.
- Standardized, effective financial accounting according to prevailing accounting principles (IFRS).
- Financial reporting accuracy and timetables.
Qualifications
What we expect from you:
- University degree or economical school degree with a preference in Accounting.
- 2+ years of professional work experience in a Finance or Accounting function.
- Basic knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Fluent in written and spoken English language.
- Proficiency with SAP, MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to follow harmonized and effective accounting processes.
- Documentation of processes and work instructions.
