Job Summary
Position Summary Orientation Leaders (OLs) aid new students in their transition to East Tennessee State University ( ETSU ). OLs must uphold the ETSU mission by exposing new students to high-quality educational programs and services that promote student learning and prepare students for their transition to the university. They also assist family members by introducing them to University resources and areas of support for their student. ETSU is committed to ensuring that our students, faculty, and staff are valued and work in an environment of openness and acceptance. ETSU is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer .

Required Qualifications
· Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA · Must relate well with students, parents, faculty, and administrators · Must be mature, responsible, and display a willingness to assist students in transitioning to college · Must be currently enrolled as a student at ETSU and in good academic and judicial standing · Must present a professional demeanor that favorably represents the institution and department · Must demonstrate a desire to learn about the University, its regulations, its people, its programs, and its community
