, we enable unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to operate independently of global navigation satellite systems and radio control, using computer vision and machine learning. We partner with multiple UAV manufacturers to deliver cost effective capabilities to public sector and defence customers. Our core team has substantial experience in aerospace engineering and developing computer vision applications across Europe, including at companies like Bolt (EE), Open Cosmos (UK), and Starship Technologies (EE).

As a
Product Development Engineer
, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating UAV platforms and their subcomponents - including camera solutions, power management systems, and flight controllers required to deliver autonomous capabilities effectively, reliably and at affordable cost. You will also help to develop manufacturing and assembly processes for efficient production.

What you will be doing

  • Perform CAD design activities of mechanical components and systems
  • Perform finite element analysis of structural and thermal systems
  • Solving mechanical and electromagnetic issues
  • Designing simpler electronics solutions to power on board devices
  • Present to peers and customers in design reviews
  • Assemble, maintain and fix testing units
  • Conduct test flights to record data and perform post flight analyses to identify improvements (UAV operator training provided by the company)
  • Take part in customer demonstrations and tests
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across hardware, electronics, software to deliver complete solutions

We are looking for

Required skills:

  • Proven experience in product development or engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or mechatronic systems).
  • Prior experience operating CAD software (e.g Autodesk Inventor)
  • A solid understanding of hardware manufacturability and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Familiarity with a wide range of materials (CFRP, plastics, adhesives, metals etc.)
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication skills in English (working language)
  • Must be resident or citizen of Estonia; on-site work required in Tallinn

Additional skills that are nice to have:

  • Degree in product development, mechanical or aerospace engineering, physics or similar field
  • Expertise in engineering tool development in Python or C++
  • Experience with quadcopter design
