Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia Starship Technologies Full time €40,000 - €80,000 per year

Starship Technologies is revolutionizing deliveries with autonomous robots. These robots are designed to deliver food, groceries, and packages across college campuses and neighborhoods in minutes. Starship has now completed millions of autonomous deliveries to date, traveled millions of miles, and is currently doing more than 140k road crossings each day. Our contribution to society includes reducing congestion, and pollution, providing zero-emissions deliveries, increasing the quality of life for residents, empowering seniors and disabled people, and enabling affordable delivery for local businesses.

You will join our Workplace team and play an essential part in our mission to provide the world with affordable and environment-friendly deliveries. Every day, our robots are completing thousands of autonomous deliveries in the US, UK, and Europe, and we are hitting records on an almost weekly basis.

As our Workplace, Health and Safety Specialist, you will be the owner and driver of our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs across all Starship locations. This is an exciting, newly created role with significant scope for ownership, where you will be empowered to make a real impact on the team by leveraging your valuable expertise and experience. The role is based in Tallinn, Estonia.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Own and elevate global OHS programs. You will manage and continuously improve workplace health and safety across multiple regions.
  • Guarantee adherence to all local, national, and industry-specific OHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EU Directives).
  • Drive safety through action. Conduct regular risk assessments, workplace safety audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Build a culture of safety. Develop, implement, and maintain OHS policies and procedures, and deliver impactful safety and ergonomics training programs that foster continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for remote teams, efficiently resolving facilities, health, and safety requests.
  • Manage all vendor and contractor relationships to ensure service and safety standards are met, while maintaining accurate records for all incidents, inspections, and compliance.
  • Lead workplace projects. Coordinate and deliver critical workplace initiatives like space optimization, refurbishments, system implementations, and sustainability projects, ensuring they are completed on scope, budget, and time.
  • Ensure preparedness. Keep emergency preparedness plans current, clearly communicated, and regularly tested.

What's in it for you?

  • Opportunity to work on industry-leading self-driving delivery robot technology on a uniquely large scale, creating history and making things happen.
  • You can immerse yourself in the world of technology and innovation.
  • You will have a chance to work with people with a strong inner burning and motivation. We are self-aware and seek feedback and improvement. We don't want to wait until we are told what needs to be done but take it as a matter of pride to figure out solutions for topics in various teams and areas.
  • You'll have endless opportunities to learn from our inspirational, talented team members across the globe.

What we hope you'll bring to the table:

  • Facilities management experience in working with multiple sites, ideally remote sites.
  • Proven responsibility for health and safety programs and implementation, including policy write up and knowledge of health and safety laws and requirements.
  • A certification in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience.
  • Proven project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in both Estonian and English.
  • Soft skills that include being detail orientated, a good communicator, organized, tech savvy, and a self starter.
