We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analytics Manager to join our Commerce team. The Commerce team at Bolt is responsible for powering all money movements across Bolt's business verticals - Ride Hailing, Food & Market Delivery, Rentals (Micro-mobility and Car Rentals), and B2B. Commerce is the backbone of Bolt's financial systems, making it the system of record and source of truth for all financial transactions and balances at Bolt. Our mission is to ensure that every euro, dollar, and cent moving through Bolt is tracked with the precision and reliability expected of the world's leading financial institutions.
As the Senior Data Analytics Manager for Commerce, you will lead analytics for this mission-critical organization. You will ensure that Bolt operates at the highest standards of financial data integrity, scalability, and transparency, building systems and insights that rival those of top-tier banks and payment providers.
About us
Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa, with over 200 million customers in 50+ countries. We're a global team of more than 100 nationalities joined on a common mission – to make cities for people, not cars. And we need you to make it happen
About the role
Commerce is Bolt's source of truth for financial data - every ride, every delivery, every rental depends on its accuracy and resilience. To maintain trust with partners, regulators, and customers, Commerce must operate at the same level as industry-leading financial institutions.
As the Senior Data Analytics Manager for Commerce, you will be responsible for ensuring this standard of excellence. You will define how Bolt measures, validates, and scales financial data - safeguarding the company's backbone while enabling bold growth in mobility, delivery, and beyond.
This is not just an analytics role - it is an opportunity to shape the future of Bolt's financial infrastructure and set new standards for data excellence in our industry.
Your daily adventures will include:
- Own the analytics strategy for Commerce as Bolt's financial source of truth, ensuring that all data on transactions, balances, and flows is accurate, reliable, and actionable.
- Lead strategic, company-wide analytics projects that shape the future of payments, billing, fraud prevention, and compliance.
- Raise the bar for analytics and data standards, ensuring Bolt operates at a level comparable to industry-leading financial institutions.
- Provide continuous mentorship and coaching to analysts within Commerce and across Bolt, ensuring technical and professional growth at scale.
- Shape Commerce-wide data models and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reusability, and strict adherence to financial accuracy.
- Inspire and align cross-vertical teams, connecting analytics outcomes to Bolt's strategic objectives and customer trust.
- Adapt analytics priorities swiftly to regulatory changes, new markets, and product launches, while maintaining world-class data quality.
- Act as a key organizational leader, driving high-impact initiatives that safeguard Bolt's financial backbone and unlock measurable business value.
About you:
- You hold a BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics (advanced degree – MSc or PhD – preferred).
- You have 10+ years of proven experience leading analytics in financial systems, payments, or large-scale transactional businesses.
- You are a recognized leader in data and analytics, capable of operating at the same standard as leading financial institutions.
- You have outstanding SQL skills and deep expertise in Python/R, with a track record of solving complex financial analytics challenges.
- You have extensive experience with BI tools, financial data platforms, and scalable architectures, ensuring Bolt's systems meet the highest levels of reliability and compliance.
- You are an exceptional communicator, able to translate complex financial data into strategic insights for executives, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
- You have scaled large analytics teams (15+ people), driving workforce planning, mentoring future leaders, and ensuring organizational excellence.
- You manage company-level budgets and resources, balancing delivery capacity with the need for robust data systems.
- You thrive in highly dynamic environments, ensuring data integrity and resilience even amid rapid growth, regulatory shifts, and product expansion.
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don't tick every box, please consider applying
Why you'll love it here:
- Play a direct role in shaping the future of mobility.
- Impact millions of customers and partners in 600+ cities across 50+ countries.
- Work in fast-moving autonomous teams with some of the smartest people in the world.
- Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
- Get a rewarding salary and stock option package that lets you focus on doing your best work.
