
Reconciliation Specialist

As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
You will be responsible for regular reconciliations of customer accounts, digital wallets, and payment service provider reports. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is capable of managing complex financial data and improving operational efficiency.
- Perform regular reconciliations across customer accounts, digital wallets, and payment service provider reports.
- Investigate any inconsistencies or discrepancies found during the reconciliation process and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
- Collaborate closely with the Fraud & Payments team to ensure the accurate processing of customer payments.
- Work closely with the accounting and finance departments to communicate findings and adjust financial records. Assist in improving internal controls related to reconciliation to prevent future discrepancies.
- Perform month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting, including adding journal entries to the accounting tool.
- Maintain communication with external payment providers and reconciliation tool vendors to ensure seamless and accurate reconciliation processes.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or an equivalent degree (could be in process of acquiring).
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent level of verbal and written English.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to adapt quickly and to learn new systems, ensuring efficient integration into workflows.
- Previous experience in a reconciliation role or a similar financial position is an advantage.
- Familiarity with accounting software and digital payment platforms is an advantage.
