Banking Operations Governance Team LeadTallinn
In this role, you'll advance our mission by establishing a new governance function. You will:
- Build and lead a new governance team from the ground up, recruiting and developing specialists in Banking Operations Governance while supporting their growth paths and ensuring consistent performance standards across the team;
- Act as the first level escalation point for the team as well as stakeholders in the organization, providing guidance and resolution for complex operational matters;
- Monitor and report against team performance metrics while managing team resources and their relevant skills, ensuring at all times a high-quality, high-speed workflow with optimal coverage;
- Ensure team readiness to handle unexpected situations and guarantee process documentation and improvement within your area;
- Design and implement comprehensive governance frameworks that establish standardized processes for banking operations, create formal SLAs and review procedures, implement proactive monitoring systems to prevent operational gaps, and develop documentation standards that ensure regulatory compliance and eliminate inefficiencies;
- Establish robust financial and access controls by implementing accurate partner access management and signatory controls, developing comprehensive fee reconciliation processes to prevent missed charges;
- Drive strategic partnership management by collaborating with the Banking Relationships team to establish relationship management standards and partner contact protocols, contribute to comprehensive due diligence processes, bank account creation and partner onboarding, and support ongoing partner health assessments to ensure banking partnerships remain viable and compliant;
- Manage key stakeholder relationships by actively collaborating with internal teams, product, engineering, and external banking partners to implement governance frameworks, resolve complex escalated issues, maintain operational integrity, and drive continuous improvements in banking operations.

- You're placed in Tallinn, Estonia, and have a right to work here (we won't be able to support with relocation nor visas for this role)
- You've 2+ years of leadership experience, with bonus points for experience building teams from scratch;
- You're able to to design and implement standardized processes and frameworks;
- You're experienced with regulatory requirements and compliance assurance;
- You can multi-task and take responsibility in challenging situations, especially in ambiguous or new environments;
- You're able to build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, including banking partners;
- You've excellent presentation skills to support internal and external projects;
- You've strong analytical skills with experience setting and monitoring performance metrics and KPIs;
- You've a proven track record of taking individual ownership and building something new, as well as being a great team-player and people leader;
- You've excellent people and interpersonal communication skills;
- You're comfortable with feedback and being part of a team where ideas are shared and openness is valued;
- Your experience with documentation and process standardisation is highly valued.
