Your mission
As a
Purchase Team Lead at Elcogen
, you will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day purchasing activities within our Supply Chain Management department. In this role, you will
lead and mentor the purchasing team
to achieve the company's commercial and operational targets, while also
driving
the
strategic
procurement
of selected
categories.
Close
collaboration
with
R&D, Industrialization, and Manufacturing
will be essential, as you ensure
cost-effective
,
timely
, and
sustainable
sourcing solutions that support our growth and
industrialization
of
clean
energy
technologies
.
Your tasks
Operational & Team Leadership
- Ensure daily purchasing operations are carried out efficiently, resolving issues such as missing invoices, delays, and damaged deliveries.
- Manage and update documentation related to purchasing activities (instructions, forms, processes).
- Coordinate and oversee purchase order entry in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy of delivery dates and pricing.
- Monitor and balance team workload, allocating tasks, managing staffing levels, and recommending recruitment or development actions.
- Provide mentorship and support for team members in process implementation, improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Organize and provide backup support across different roles during team absences.
Supplier & Process Management
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and lead time.
- Identify potential new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing ones.
- Lead supplier collaboration and improvement projects to reduce purchasing costs.
- Ensure material deficiencies are escalated in line with internal procedures.
- Monitor and optimize stock levels through analysis and control, ensuring cost efficiency and availability.
- Manage purchase parameters in ERP to maintain optimal inventory and pricing.
Strategic Procurement & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the strategic procurement of selected categories and support the Group Purchasing Manager on sourcing side.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to drive efficiency and process improvements in the supply chain.
- Monitor KPIs and drive initiatives to achieve set goals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and ensure alignment with company strategy.
Your profile
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Management, Industrial Planning, or Engineering.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain, production, or quality within international manufacturing companies.
- Experience in supplier management and purchasing team leadership is a strong advantage.

- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
- Skilled in ERP systems and procurement processes.
- Resilient under pressure, accurate, detail-oriented, and goal-driven.
- Strong self-expression skills, confidentiality, and high stress tolerance.
Languages
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
- Knowledge of Estonian, Russian, and/or Finnish is an advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel to suppliers and stakeholders as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality as described in the employment contract.
