As
Purchase Team Manager
, you will play a critical role in ensuring material readiness for FLIR's high-precision production. Beyond procurement, this is a people-leadership role where you will guide a team of 4–5 professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. You will also work closely with colleagues across Sweden and Belgium, making this a truly international position.
Location: This is an on-site role in Tallinn (Osmussaare 1).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the Purchase Team in Tallinn (4–5 professionals).
- Manage end-to-end procurement operations: vendor development, contract negotiations, logistics optimization.
- Drive process improvements and streamline workflows.
- Oversee supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives.
- Participate in industrialization phases of new product development, aligning sourcing with engineering and logistics.
- Collaborate closely with Sweden's category management and purchasing teams, as well as R&D and sourcing colleagues in Belgium.
- Evaluate supply chain risks (e.g., shortages, delays, quality issues) and take proactive corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and unify a diverse team.
- Background in manufacturing or high-precision production (electronics/mechanics a plus).
- Strong supplier management skills, including vendor development and performance evaluation.
- Fluency in Estonian and English.
- ERP system experience, preferably SAP.
- Analytical skills and confidence with Excel and procurement reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- High stress tolerance and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Hands-on, decisive leader who sets clear expectations and leads by example.
