Legal & Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an addition to our legal & compliance team, to work closely with the team in supporting management on all legal and compliance areas. If you are ambitious and bright-minded, with a law-related degree in the early phase of your career, you are the person we are looking for

You will be given coaching and exposure to a diverse pool of legal subjects including gambling regulatory laws, policy drafting, data protection, corporate matters, good governance practices, IP, AML, agreement reviews and negotiations, cross-border structures and shareholder/investor management.

Your skills And Experience:

Mastery of English: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Legal Expertise: A law degree to provide a strong foundation in the field.

Document drafting: A good inclination for drafting precise legal documents.

Out-of-the-Box Thinking: A penchant for thinking beyond the ordinary.

Process Improvement: A dedication to enhancing efficiency through continuous learning.

Ownership Mentality: A willingness to take charge and drive initiatives.

Independent Collaboration: The ability to work independently while first and foremost being a collaborative team player.

Extra plus:

Estonian Law Proficiency: Training/competence in Estonian law.

Diverse Legal Experience: Previous experience as an in-house legal professional, compliance specialist, or involvement with various legal domains simultaneously, either within a law firm or consultancy firm.

Balancing Act: Mastering the delicate balance between efficiency and quality.

You will be involved in:

iGaming licenses: Assisting in the management of various local and international license processes.

Policy drafting: reviewing and drafting of policies and procedures in various fields.

External Counsel Relations: Managing interactions with external counsels

Contract Review: Negotiating and handling contracts with business partners

Corporate Documentation and governance: Drafting corporate and shareholder documents.

Employment: Providing support to the People team on employment matters which could also have a cross-border element.

Intellectual property: Assisting in IP matters

AML Compliance: Work closely with MLRO on compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.

Due Diligences: Lead due diligence processes with service providers.

Data Protection: Contribute to adherence with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws

Processes: Contributing to the development of effective legal and compliance processes.

Document management and archiving: help develop, improve and maintain internal processes and procedures

Tax: Supporting tax-related matters as needed.

General Legal Support: Providing overall legal support to other teams as needed.
