Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal, Licensing & Compliance to lead all aspects of regulatory, licensing, and compliance for $SRC Ecosystem.

You will be the primary guardian of our regulatory strategy, ensuring that the platform stays compliant with global crypto-asset, payments, and trade finance rules while scaling across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Licensing & Regulatory Strategy

Assess global regulatory frameworks (EU MiCA, FATF, MAS, VARA, US FinCEN, FCA, etc.) and define $SRC's licensing roadmap.

Lead license applications (CASP/VASP, EMI, PSP, or partnerships) in key markets.

Ensure accurate positioning of $SRC as non-custodial tech + regulated partner integration where applicable.

Compliance Management

Build and maintain AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring frameworks.

Oversee KYC/KYB policies for SMEs, lenders, and institutional partners (aligned with ERC-3643 Identity Registry).

Ensure compliance for cross-border payments, FX facilitation, and stablecoin on/off ramps via licensed partners.

Legal Advisory

Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with financial institutions, liquidity providers, and payment partners.

Advise on token utility classification ($SRC under MiCA/Estonia, stablecoin usage, RWA compliance).

Oversee IP, data protection (GDPR), and platform terms of use.

Risk & Governance

Develop and enforce governance policies for smart contract custody, escrow segregation, and client fund protection.

Prepare for regulatory audits and investor due diligence.

Report to executive leadership on compliance risks and legal exposures.

Qualifications

7+ years in legal/compliance roles in fintech, blockchain, payments, or trade finance.

Deep knowledge of EU MiCA, FATF VASP standards, AMLD5/6, and payment/FX regulations.

Proven track record in obtaining licenses (CASP/VASP, EMI/PSP, MSB, or equivalent).

Familiarity with trade finance law (UNCITRAL MLETR, ICC rules) is a strong plus.

Hands-on experience designing AML/KYC/KYB programs and working with regulators.

Strong communication skills; ability to brief investors, regulators, and board members.

Law degree or compliance certification (CAMS, ICA, etc.) preferred.
