The Role:
As the System Administrator - Cloud & IT Operations, you'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our AWS cloud infrastructure and internal IT systems. You'll ensure that our cloud services and SaaS platform are reliable, secure, and high-performing, while also managing day-to-day IT operations for our distributed teams.

Cloud Responsibilities:

  • Managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring it is reliable, and secure.
  • Maintain monitoring, logging, tracing systems for platform health and performance, including alarms and alerts.
  • Maintain & operate deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Pulumi.
  • Keeping our multi-tenant SaaS environment running smoothly, including scaling and uptime.
  • Maintain incident and disaster recovery mechanisms, backups and automations.
  • Cloud infrastructure FinOps, managing cloud costs and budgets efficiently.
  • Maintaining security best practices across all cloud infrastructure.

IT Operations Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing IT systems, hardware, and infrastructure for internal operations and client integrations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to the team, ensuring all users have reliable and efficient systems.
  • Coordinating client system integration with internal platforms.
  • Developing and enforcing IT policies to maintain security and compliance.
  • Managing remote-user infrastructure and IT support for distributed teams.
  • Administering third-party services and company IT equipment.
  • Handling employee onboarding/offboarding processes and IT subscriptions.
  • Evaluating emerging tech and recommending solutions to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or IT Manager, supporting internal IT infrastructure and distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, hardware, networks, and user support workflows.
  • 2+ years of experience in a cloud infrastructure role, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Pulumi or similar).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including securing networks, data encryption, and managing access controls.
  • Experience setting up proactive monitoring, alerting, and automated incident response.
  • Knowledge of metrics, logging, and tracing tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
  • Familiarity with deploying and managing multi-tenant SaaS environments.
  • Understanding of system architecture, automation, and best practices in cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working with CI/CD (e.g. GitLab) pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Fluency in English.

Additional beneficial skills include:

  • Experience with the .NET ecosystem and applications running in a .NET environment.
  • Experience with managing databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, event-sourcing)
  • Familiarity with AWS pricing and the ability to forecast effectively.
  • Experience in a startup environment or scaling cloud infrastructure for fast-growing applications.
