At Stoneridge, collaboration is an important factor. As a
MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
you will work closely with Product Development and Operations teams to perform tasks linked to products already in mass production, as part of our Change Management team.

What Will You Do

  • You will develop and improve existing products, support production in investigating quality issues, perform design changes and design verification activities.
  • You will use Siemens NX, CAD and PDM Teamcenter as the tools to solve the tasks listed above.
  • You will communicate with your project team, automotive suppliers and customers
  • You will contribute to the improvement activities in design tools and processes
  • You learn new skills from your colleagues

The Ideal Candidate Has

  • Higher technical education in mechanics or mechatronics or 5-7 years working experience in mechanical design can be classified as equivalent
  • Hands on experience in mechanical design and testing
  • Experience in working with 3D CAD systems and technical drawings
  • Experience in product development tasks including creating bills of material, interfacing with suppliers, procurement of material for prototyping, change management.
  • Problem solving skills (8D, A3, Lean Six Sigma)
  • Basic understanding in working with plastics (injection molding) and metals
  • Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken
