IIHSE – International Institute of Health, Safety and Environment is a global umbrella organization for occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) professionals. It brings together experts, companies, universities, and institutes with the aim of promoting best practices in occupational health, safety, and environmental management.
Our mission is to support the professional development of HSE specialists, enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience at national and international levels, and foster collaboration across institutions and industries. Through education, certification, research, and advocacy, we strive to create healthier and safer workplaces, strengthen environmental sustainability, and contribute to the adoption of high standards worldwide.

In line with these goals, IIHSE serves as an independent platform that strengthens professional solidarity, provides resources for career development, and builds an international network for HSE specialists.
Role Description
This is
a remote volunteer role
for the
IIHSE Country Ambassador.
The Country Ambassador represents IIHSE in their respective country and acts as a bridge between local professionals and the international HSE community. Responsibilities include:
- Promoting IIHSE's mission and activities at the national level
- Building and coordinating a local volunteer network of HSE professionals
- Engaging with universities, institutions, and companies to foster collaboration
- Supporting IIHSE educational programs, webinars, and research projects
- Monitoring local developments in health, safety, and environment and reporting to IIHSE
- Acting as a liaison between IIHSE and local stakeholders, promoting professional solidarity and knowledge-sharing
Qualifications
- Strong background in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) or Occupational Health & Safety, with
minimum 15 years of professional experience
in the industry, including experience at
managerial
or
director level
. - Experience as a
university-level academic
or
professor
in HSE-related disciplines is an advantage. - Experience in professional organizations, networks, or community initiatives is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar) is beneficial.
- Good command of
English
or
Turkish
is preferred.
