About this opportunity
 
As the GFCP Expert or GFCP Senior Expert (depending on your experience) with a focus on managing reported incidents, your role involves approving and closing incidents in the incident reporting tool, assessing quality and mitigating actions in the reported incidents occurred within in the sanctions value chain in GFCP. You will collaborate across GFCP Sanctions and TMSI Sanctions in Group Financial Crime Prevention (GFCP) on incidents .You will think end-to-end around incident handling and mitigating across Nordea’s business.
 
This is an opportunity for you to contribute to the growth of the 1LoD incident management capability in GFCP Sanctions, by managing, supporting and securing effective mitigation and prevention of identified risks. The role sits within the GFCP Sanctions Quality Management team.

What you will be doing:  

  • Contribute to 1LoD Sanctions incident management capability:
    • Supporting the Incident Manager with the definition and implementation of a target state in Sanctions Incident Management process
    • Contributing to the execution of incident management related milestones in the GFCP Sanctions Non-Financial Risk Reduction Plan
  • Driving Business as Usual:
    • Supporting a team of dedicated Local Incident Specialists in incident reporting, handling and managing without having the HR responsibility
    • Approving and closing incidents reported by GFCP Sanctions and TMSI Sanctions, 
    • Contributing to the reporting of suspected breaches on the incidents that have been assessed as a suspected breach of sanctions, 
    • Facilitating Root Cause Analysis and identifying robust mitigating and preventive actions from the RCA
    • Securing the quality of adequate Management Information (MI) for incident reporting and tracking of mitigating/preventive actions
    • Supporting the Local Incident Specialists in the MI process and delivering the MI reporting for Sanctions Incidents
  • Collaborating Across the Organisation:
    • With GFCP Sanctions and TMSI Sanctions Management
    • With Breach Management in GFCP Sanctions to secure consistent identification, recording and reporting of relevant cases.
    • With the broader GFCP organization with other centralised control owning functions to secure appropriate root cause, mitigating actions and knowledge sharing
    • With SARM to raise Self Identified Issues (SIIs).

Your background will include: 

  • Extensive experience with incident handling in a highly dynamic and regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of sanctions including the incident framework
  • A track record of working in a fast paced, complex and international environment
  • Ability to identify trends and patterns across cases and data sets
  • Strong English language communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Experience communicating competently and confidently to management
  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree
