WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

You will play a key role in transforming how the bank operates across multiple countries. This means analyzing complex banking ecosystems, defining integrations, ensuring data alignment, and enabling smooth transitions between legacy systems and new platforms.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Engineers in an Agile environment. You will map processes, clarify and refine requirements, document integrations, and ensure that system behavior is fully understood and correctly implemented. A strong background in Accounts and Deposits, combined with hands‑on experience in Payments, Cards, and Lending, will be essential for understanding how changes in one area affect the broader banking landscape.

DO YOU HAVE...

5+ years as a System / Business Analyst in banking or complex financial systems.

Accounts/Deposits banking know‑how proficiency (5+ years), with solid understanding of daily operations, interest, fees, and product lifecycle events.

Strong domain knowledge across lending, including end‑to‑end process and integration points.

Strong knowledge of core banking migrations, including data migration, cutover, and coexistence scenarios.

Hands‑on experience with integration technologies: REST APIs, SOAP, and messaging (queues/brokers).

Good understanding of data structures, reporting, and fluent SQL querying (joins, aggregations, data validation and reconciliation).

Experience working in Agile teams using Jira and Confluence for backlog and documentation management.

Excellent communication and analytical skills, able to bridge business and technical stakeholders and present complex topics clearly.

Fluent English, both spoken and written.

NICE TO HAVE...

Experience with regulatory, risk, or management reporting in banking environments.

Exposure to test design, UAT coordination, or production rollout of core banking changes.

ARE YOU WILLING TO...

Analyze and document banking systems, data flows, and integrations.

Perform gap analysis and define integration/process solutions across multiple banking domains.

Support data migration, reconciliation, and consistency checks.

Collaborate with architects, developers, and business teams to ensure aligned delivery.

Create clear specifications and manage Agile backlogs in Jira.

Participate in MVP handovers and UAT, ensuring stable end-to-end delivery.

Work in a hybrid/remote model and visit the office when needed.

Contribute to planning, refinement, and decision-making across teams.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and documentation.

Salary ranges for this position are:

from 4000 to 5500 EUR gross in Lithuania.

from 3400 to 4700 EUR gross in Latvia.

from 3000 to 4200 EUR gross in Estonia.

Also, we can provide a B2B collaboration option with an hourly rate up to 41 EUR.
