WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

You'll be the go-to person for the bank's
ETL and metadata
platforms-administering, operating, and continuously improving them. Your day-to-day will blend platform administration with hands-on SQL analysis (especially
Oracle SQL
) and close collaboration with product teams working in
Agile (iterative delivery approach)
and
SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
. You will work across
Windows/Unix/Linux OS
environments, keep services reliable, and guide others through complex troubleshooting.

DO YOU HAVE...

4-6+ years
of experience as a consultant or in a similar role administering/supporting
ETL and metadata
platforms in enterprise environments, with the ability to
guide and lead others
.

3-5+ years
of strong, hands-on
Oracle SQL
: writing, reviewing, and tuning queries; investigating performance issues.

3-5+ years
working confidently in
Windows/Unix/Linux OS
environments: command-line usage, processes, permissions, and general system operations.

2-4+ years
contributing within
Agile
or
SAFe
teams (planning, reviews, retrospectives).

Proven
proactive mindset
: you investigate issues end-to-end and follow through with clear fixes and documentation.

Willingness to learn
and share knowledge.

Fluent English
(written and spoken).

Bachelor's or Master's
degree in Computer Science (or a related field), or equivalent practical experience.

BONUS SKILLS...

While not mandatory, any of these will set you apart:

Experience applying both
Agile
and
SAFe
in real projects (knowing when to use which ceremonies and artifacts).

Demonstrated depth in
Oracle SQL
performance tuning (reading execution plans, indexing strategy, diagnosing slow queries).

Comfort switching between
Windows
and
Unix/Linux
for administration and scripting of daily tasks.

Salary range for this position is from 4500 to 4800 EUR gross, or an hourly rate for B2B - 45 EUR gross
