Help spread the word about the doctoral student community
The TalTech Doctoral Student Council, or DoKo for short, is a non-profit organization established with the aim of improving the quality of doctoral studies at TalTech by contributing to the well-being of the university's doctoral students. Through DoKo, doctoral students are represented in the university's decision-making bodies, which allows us to have a say in the development of the university. In addition, we organize joint events and share important information with doctoral students – and for all this, we need your help
We are looking for someone who...
wants to work part-time (0.5 FTE) to help the TalTech Doctoral Student Council get its message across to the right target groups. You will work closely with the organization's executive director and board, send out newsletters, and manage our social media and website.
Your tasks:
- Leading the development of DOKO's communication strategy and key messages, including reviewing and developing the CVI in cooperation with the board
- Managing communication for the Doctoral Student Council's events (everything related to event planning, promotion, and follow-up communication)
- Managing the communications budget
- Managing our Facebook page and website, creating content for posts on social media and the website's news section
- Advising and assisting board members in crafting messages, occasionally also advising on writing opinion pieces
Expectations for candidates:
- Very good command of Estonian and English, both spoken and written
- Ability to work in a structured and systematic manner
- Experience in writing texts
- Knowledge of some design programs (e.g., Canva)
- Understanding of editing on Meta and LinkedIn platforms, including experience with paid advertising
- Initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire and ability to support a mission-based association in achieving its goals
Advantages

- Experience in preparing and monitoring communication budgets, ability to prepare reports
- Previous or current connection with TalTech, knowledge of how the university operates
