Our client is searching for an experienced Accountant to step in and manage their Estonian division's accounting and payroll during a maternity cover period. This isn't your average number-crunching job—it's a hands-on, pivotal role where you'll support a growing and dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant, you'll ensure smooth financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage the Day-to-Day: Own the daily accounting operations—process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and keep financial records organized and accurate.
  • Payroll Administration: Take charge of payroll for the Estonian team, managing salary payments, tracking vacations, and sick leave. You'll ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Own the Month-End Process: Be a key player in the monthly close, reviewing journal entries, leases, and preparing reports to keep everything in check.
  • Manage Vendor Relations: Handle vendor payments, resolve invoice discrepancies, and keep relationships running smoothly.
  • Navigate Systems: Use Microsoft Navision to manage accounting entries, bank balances, and ensure financial tracking is up to date.
  • Stay Tax-Savvy: Keep a close eye on Estonian tax laws and ensure payroll and accounting compliance with Estonian tax laws.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 3-4 years of experience. You're familiar with Estonian tax and payroll laws.
  • Detail-Oriented: You live for accuracy, especially when it comes to payroll and financial entries.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with Microsoft Navision or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Self-Starter: You can work independently, manage your tasks effectively, and keep communication flowing.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where processes are evolving? You'll fit right in.
  • Bilingual: Fluency in English and Estonian is a must.

Bonus Skills:

  • Have experience with payroll systems.
  • Know Estonian tax regulations inside out.
