Are you interested in contributing to the development of strategically significant initiatives within Nordea's Financial Crime Prevention Area? We are currently looking for an experienced Target Operating Model lead to join our KYC team as we embark on our strategic journey in line with Nordea's non financial risk reduction plans.

The foundation of the Group KYC Tool is based on an updated and sustainable KYC Target Operating Model. This model will serve as an integral part of the implementation and ongoing management of the new strategic solution.

As the lead for TOM, you will be responsible for the building and maintenance of the TOM, in conjunction with stakeholders across Nordea in the KYC Value Chain.

About this opportunity

KYC provides the framework for ensuring that we know whom we are doing business with, where their money comes from, and the purpose of the transactions. A robust KYC process is the key element in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF). Nordea has set out ambitious targets for 2025. The success of the KYC strategic solution is a vital part of reaching those targets, including developing a revised, robust and fit for purpose – Target Operating Model.

The Target Operating Model will outline how we are organised in order to execute and deliver on the values defined by the KYC strategy and business models covering: Processes, Organisation and Governance, Technology, Sourcing and Location, People and Skills and Performance Management. You will drive the development and implementation of this model across the KYC domain in Nordea.

Your track record of expertise and experience in scoping, planning and leading the execution of similar Target Operating Models from the early stages through to successful implementation and sustainable anchoring – is what we are looking for.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with Stakeholders and Change experts to plan, build and maintain the TOM
  • Support Nordea ​to reach its strategic targets and a successful implementation of Group KYC Tool
  • Use your expertise and experience from working with and delivering target operating models to provide direction for how this model should be developed and delivered
  • While you will not have direct reports, your leadership and stakeholder management skills are imperative for leading a successful programme
  • The Target Operating Model will cover a complex area including all countries and business areas from an end to end perspective
  • The model covers KYC; Processes, Organisation and Governance, Technology, Sourcing and Location, People and Skills and Performance Management

Your experience and background:

  • Have senior level experience in International Organisations developing TOMs
  • Have strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills which enable you to lead projects in a complex environment
  • Have experience and success with multiple project deliveries within tight deadlines and you are comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Relevant university degree. Background from a large financial institution and experience with financial crime prevention is a strong advantage
  • You are fully proficient in the English language and strong in packaging and delivering information to varied target audiences
  • You are a proactive, flexible and collaborative person who want to get things done
  • You have the courage to ask the critical questions

The role is based in one of the Sweden, Finland, Estonia or Poland.
