About the role
The
Payroll Accountant
is responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements across multiple global markets. This unique, centralized role offers exposure to a wide range of data, geographies, and accounting frameworks, working closely with country accountants, payroll teams, and external auditors. You'll have the opportunity to help build scalable processes from scratch within a collaborative, global finance team.
Main Tasks & Responsbilites:
- Manage monthly payroll general ledger (GL) closing and reconciliations.
- Post accruals, adjustments, and allocate costs accurately.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Payroll Operations, Regional Accounting, and Controlling.
- Support audits and continuous process improvements.
- Partner with the Engineering team to drive payroll automation.
About you:
- You have 5+ years of experience in accounting or payroll-related general ledger (GL) closing.
- You are comfortable working with multi-country financial processes.
- You have strong Excel skills.
- You are analytical, organised, and curious, ready to learn and take on new challenges.
- You are an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams and borders.
