Marketplace Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Marketplace Operations Manager to join Bolt Food's Central Operations team on our journey to discover and drive performance improvements all over our markets throughout Europe and Africa and work to achieve our food delivery goals.

The marketplace Operations Manager will be one of the key players at our HQ team and responsible for bringing our marketplace to the top level of excellence and efficiency by uncovering opportunities on how to improve our delivery quality, cost per order (CPO) and courier efficiency. The role requires a proficient level of technical skills and business acumen. 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage our marketplace operation globally. You'll work continuously to improve the efficiency, reliability, and quality of our delivery operations globally. Looking to drive the most efficient operation around courier pricing, batching, dispatching, timing, radius, automation, as well as other marketplace efficiencies.
• Stakeholders management. You will closely work with the HQ team (Operations, Marketplace Product, Marketing) and local Courier Operations teams to resolve the most challenging issues around batching, dispatching, timing, and other marketplace efficiencies.
• Own key operational metrics. Delivery time, late orders, couriers cost per order, batching efficiency - these and other metrics define success of our marketplace business. You will be responsible for improving some of the key performance metrics.
• Scale and improve workflows. You will review current courier operational processes and SOPs, and will define new workflows that are more scalable and that will improve efficiency of teams 5-10x.
• Work and collaborate with our Product team to ensure we develop the best-in-class tools and systems that will contribute towards more efficient operations and drivers for profitability.

About you:

• 5+ years of previous relevant experience in consulting, strategy, marketplace operations, analytics, or related fields with 2+ years of experience in dealing with large volumes of data as a data analyst.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills; you can rank your SQL skills as "outstanding" and Python experience as "profound". You have experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
• You have a solid grasp of statistics and demonstrated experience with A/B testing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects and processes simultaneously.
• Excellent communication & written skills in English.
