The Job in a Nutshell

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead a team of four and take ownership of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing in compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and internal policies. You will play a key role in strengthening financial controls and supporting operational efficiency within a fast-paced, international environment. The Finance function is a core part of the company's strategic planning and includes FP&A, investor relations, corporate development, tax, accounting, and treasury, with teams based in Estonia, the UK, and the USA.

A Sneak Peek into Your Role
  • Leading the implementation of new systems, applications, and tools within the accounts payable function.
  • Managing the accounts payable operations and leading a team of four.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong internal control environment across daily accounting and reporting activities.
  • Controlling the Accounts Payable ledger, including reviewing invoices, prepayments, dimensions, and GL coding, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax rules, policies, and local regulations.
  • Supporting the team and ensuring that month-end closing and reporting deadlines related to accounts payable are met.
  • Continuously improving the efficiency of monthly closing tasks by implementing scalable ways of working.
  • Ensuring that written accounting policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Proposing and organizing training for the accounts payable team, using both internal and external resources.
  • Handling ad hoc tasks as needed.
You're good at
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with solid knowledge of IFRS.
  • Proven experience in systems migration, process improvement, and implementing new tools within finance or accounts payable functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to take initiative and ownership of tasks while escalating issues when needed.
  • Resilient under pressure, with a proven ability to perform in fast-paced environments and support team members during high-demand periods.
  • Open and professional communicator, able to navigate challenging situations constructively and propose improvements.
  • A collaborative team player and an inspiring leader, capable of motivating and developing others.
  • Fluency in verbal and written communication in English is essential, as it's our primary means of interaction.
